Artwork Guidelines

We use Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Illustrator CS3 software.

Acceptable file formats are:
.ai (Illustrator)
.psd (Photoshop)
.pdf (Acrobat)
.eps (Encapsulated Post Script)
.tif (tagged image format)

The resolution of your final artwork should be no less than 300 dpi.

All artwork should be submitted at the size it is to be printed on the shirt. If you want your artwork to print at 10 inches wide on the shirt you will need to submit your artwork at 10 inches wide and at 300 dpi.

All hand drawn art will need to be scanned into a computer and saved as one of the above file formats.

All text/fonts that are used in the artwork must be converted to curves (outlines). Otherwise you design may not output the typeface properly.

As a rule, images from the web are low resolution (72 dpi) and will print poorly since they need to be enlarged approximately 400%. This will render them fuzzy and produce a poor screen.

Raster artwork is pixels and as such cannot be enlarged without compromising quality. Vector art is comprised of curved and straight lines so it can be enlarged to any size without degradation of the image. We prefer vector art wherever possible.
